Craig Gandolph, founder, is a Long Island native who grew up behind his family's deli counter. He followed his father into the deli business, garnering much praise for his creative talents in the competitive New York deli market. After he and his wife had their first son, they decided to relocate to Provo, Utah to be near her family. Craig brought with him his passion for offering unique sandwiches and fresh salads in colorful New York style. He opened his first Gandolfo's Deli in Provo, Utah in 1989. Over the next fourteen years, Craig grew the business to seven stores.
In 2003, Craig met his future business partner and 30-year industry veteran, Dan Pool, and formed the franchising company, Gandolfo's DeliBoys, LLC. Since 2003, Dan has launched Gandolfo's New York Delicatessen's growth into over 16 states with over 40 additional stores. In 2008, Dan Pool bought sole ownership of Gandolfo's DeliBoys, LLC from Craig Gandolph.

Gandolfo's New York Delicatessen has been crowned the "Best Deli" and "Best Sandwich" by numerous publications for the past 20 years and will continue its expansion by executing an aggressive growth strategy. Business plans call for the growth of over 500 stores by the year 2020.
